ANDROGENESIS works by delivering to the patient, by topical application, plant derived bio-identical male androgens, via transdermal absorption. The topical delivery method of ANDROGENESIS is superior to the oral administration of ordinary nutritional supplements because it allows the androgens to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream bypassing the digestive stomach acids.
In the early 2000s various pharmaceutical companies began marketing prescription only, synthetic, testosterone replacement gels typically containing 1-2% of synthetic testosterone, amounting to around 25mg/ml of gel.
